The weather in Tropical rainforest By Luca Fornasari
The tropical rainforests Have an ideal climate condition of warmth and rain because they are close to the equator .There are however wetter times of the year when the monsoon storms come through this is not an ideal time. This is from July to October where you must expect heavy rains , it becomes very hot and sticky over this period .Ideal weather is from November through to February as it is a little bit dryer and not so hot , expect rain but it is nice and warm ,so we should pack lightly ( shorts , t-shirts ,light jackets and rain coats.)Interesting fact , the word monsoon comes from the Arabic word mausim meaning seasons. Temperature, temp ranges from a low of 19 degrees centigrade to a high of 38, in our ideal months march, April, may is very hot. Ave. Monthly rainfall is less than 50mm .Ave. Monthly rainfall is monsoon season (July to October) is 250mm .September is the wettest of the months at 350mm rainfall .The average tempreture is 77 f all all the year. The temperature in the day is 30 -35 degrees C and in the night it falls to 20-25 degrees c. the mornings are cool; in the afternoon is gets warmer and at night it continues to get warmer.
The Monthly weather.
Tropical rainforests assists global rain and weather patterns. There is small difference between the warmest and the coldest month. It is known as an equatorial climate.
Daylight Totals
The daylight totals are around 12 hours per day.
Humidity
It is humid because of the evaporation. The humidity level usually around is 75%. It feels much warmer because of the level of humidity.
Impact on the environment
The tropical rainforests are home to more than half of the Earth’s plant and animal specifies. It has more types of trees than any other area in the world. The close to perfect conditions for life also contribute to the great number of species in this area and this is the oldest ecosystem on earth.
Lots of people think all rainforests have warm, sunny weather, but they're very wrong. Only the rainforests that are found in the tropics or ten degrees within the equator they have an all year warm weather. Subtropical rainforests that lay outside of the tropics have seasonal changes in their weather. There are a few of types of rainforests And they are categorized by the kinds of weather they have during the year and where they are found. The names of these rainforests are monsoon, equatorial, and subtropical.
The tropical rain forest is a very wet and humid environment, as you hear from the name it has the word "rain". The total rainfall for the year is close to 1500 and 2500 mm. There is no dry season. Rain falls nearly every day in the rainforests. The temperature during the day is around 30 degrees C 35ºC. At night it drops to around 20 degrees C - 25 degrees. There is a small difference between the warmest and the coolest months. The relative humidity is always high. This kind of climate in the tropical rain forest is best known as equatorial climate.
The result of all of this rain is that the rainforest is filled with lush, overgrown green vegetation. Many trees in the rainforest have “roofs” or canopies on them, giving shade for the animals and plants. The canopies help protect the plants and animals from the extremely hot sunlight. The rainforests are very wet due to the warm sunlight, rain and the canopies shading over the plants keeps in the moisture, all this contributes to the greatly overgrown vegetation.
